Important information about the Omni

Dear Omni user,

We know that some of you are still experiencing issues with your Omni Auto-Scoring system, and we want to thank you for your patience while we've worked on a solution.

Since our last update, we've pinpointed the root cause of the problem, and we're now ready to roll out a fix. As mentioned previously, your system should update automatically — but here's how to double-check everything is up to date:

How to ensure your Omni is fully updated:

  1. Start your Omni scoring system and open the updated DartCounter app.
  2. In the app, go to the ‘Smart Devices' menu.
  3. Tap on your Omni from the list.
  4. Check the firmware version:
    • If your Omni shows version 1.0.5, you're up to date.
    • If not, follow the instructions in the blue information box on the screen to complete the update.

What's changed?

The issues some users experienced were related to a recent firmware update that introduced Omni Web Support — allowing Omni to be used with a desktop browser, without the app. While this was one of our most requested features, it unfortunately introduced some instability for a portion of users.

In this latest update, we've temporarily disabled Omni Web Support and made additional improvements to restore full system stability.

Note: Your Omni will continue to work seamlessly with the DartCounter app on your phone or tablet.

What happens next?

We want to extend our sincerest apologies to everyone who encountered issues. We're incredibly proud of the growing Omni community and understand how disruptive this has been to some of you.

Web Support has been a highly requested feature. We were excited to roll it out quickly — perhaps a little too quickly — but rest assured, it will return in a future release with a long-term, stable solution.

Going forward, the DartCounter app will notify you whenever a new Omni update is available, providing better clarity and guidance through the installation process.

How do I know if my Omni update is complete?

Make sure DartCounter is updated to v8.2.4. If it is, and you still don't see the update instructions, please contact us via the app.

What if everything's up to date but I'm still having issues?

What is Omni Web Support?
It's a feature that allows your Omni device to work with the DartCounter website, without needing the mobile app.

Why was Web Support temporarily disabled?
It caused instability for some users. Disabling it allows us to stabilize the system while we work on a more robust version.

Can I still use my Omni while Web Support is offline?
Yes! Omni remains fully functional with the DartCounter app on your phone or tablet.
