Omni Auto Scoring

Target Omni brings automatic scoring to your steel tip darts setup. Instead of entering every score manually, Omni detects where your darts land and sends the result directly to DartCounter.
This lets you focus on your throw while DartCounter keeps track of your scores, game progress and statistics. Omni works across all game modes in DartCounter, whether you are playing locally, online or practising with one of the training games.
What is Omni Auto Scoring?
Target Omni is an automatic scoring system that detects where your darts land on the board. When Omni is connected to DartCounter, every detected is sent directly to the app. DartCounter then uses this information to your score and continue the game automatically.
This removes much of the manual score entry normally required after each visit and helps keep games and practice sessions moving.
How to connect Omni
Omni can be connected directly through the DartCounter app.
Open the DartCounter menu and select Smart Devices. Here you can see devices that are already connected to your setup or add a new one. Select Add Device and choose Target Omni. DartCounter will then guide you through the setup process.
Power on your Target Omni and check that the hotspot light is flashing blue. This indicates that the Wi-Fi hotspot is active. Follow the steps in DartCounter to connect Omni to your network. Once the connection has been established, your Omni will appear in the Smart Devices section and is ready to use with DartCounter.
Play any DartCounter game
Omni works with all games available in DartCounter. You can use automatic scoring during traditional matches such as 501, but also across DartCounter's training games and other available formats. There is no needed to switch back to manual score entry simply because you change game mode.
This makes it possible to use the same Omni setup for competitive games, casual matches and practice sessions.
Edit score
If Omni registers a dart incorrectly, you can correct it directly in DartCounter.
Each detected dart is shown separately on the scoring screen. Tap the dart you want to change to open the Edit Score screen. You can then select the correct segment of the dartboard and confirm the adjustment.
DartCounter will update the score with the corrected result, allowing you to continue your game without restarting the visit.
Using Omni for online darts
Omni can be used for online games in DartCounter without an additional camera.
Because Omni automatically detects your darts and sends the scores to DartCounter, the Omni system itself is sufficient to play online.
If you also want to add video to your setup, Omni can be combined with a Target VirtCam. This is optional and is not required to use Omni during online play.
Omni for practice and training
Automatic scoring is also available throughout DartCounter's training games.
Instead of entering each dart or score manually, you can concentrate on the target and your throwing routine while Omni records the result.
Because the scores are recorded in DartCounter, your session can still contribute to your statistics and performance information available for the game you are playing.
Omni requirements
To use Omni with DartCounter, you need:
- a Target Omni system
- the DartCounter app
- a stable internet connection
There is no additional DartCounter requirements for connecting Omni. Once the system has been added through Smart Devices and connected to your network, you can use it for automatic scoring.
