Release notes DartCounter V9.4.0

What’s New & What’s Fixed:  DartCounter v9.4.0 update

2 June 2026

Highlights

New: Meet the All-New DartBot

Our DartBot has always been one of the most popular features in DartCounter, but it was starting to show its age. Over the past few months, we've completely rebuilt it from the ground up to create a more realistic, challenging, and enjoyable opponent.

One of our biggest goals was to eliminate the predictable behaviour of the old bot. Gone are the days of the fixed 33% checkout rate and repetitive scoring patterns. The new DartBot features 20 carefully tuned skill levels, each with its own strengths, weaknesses, and playing style, making every match feel far more authentic.

But that's not all. Instead of simply showing a loading spinner before announcing a score, you'll now see exactly where the DartBot throws its darts. Watch every visit unfold on the board and experience matches that feel much closer to playing against a real opponent.

And for our Ultimate members, we've added something special: Custom Bot. Create your own DartBot by setting its scoring average and checkout percentage exactly how you like. Whether you're practicing for an upcoming tournament, recreating a rival's level, or building the ultimate challenge, you're now in complete control.

One final thing: With 20 individually tuned levels per game mode, creating the new DartBot involved a lot of balancing and testing. While we're incredibly happy with the result, some levels may still need a little fine-tuning. We'll be keeping a close eye on your feedback and will continue tweaking the DartBot where needed to make every level feel just right.

New: Watch the Pros Live

Never miss a throw from your favourite Target players. When a Target pro is playing on DartCounter, their match will now be highlighted in the Live Games list with a special border and automatically moved to the top of the list. Whether you're looking to learn from the best or simply enjoy the action, finding pro matches has never been easier.

New: Official Tournaments, Front and Centre

Looking to join an official tournament but having trouble finding it? We've made that much easier. Official tournaments hosted by Target and other partnered organizers will now be highlighted with a special border and automatically sorted to the top of the tournament list. Less searching, more playing.

New: More Control Over Your Conversations

Prefer to keep things quiet? You can now disable incoming voice calls and in-game chat popups in your online in-game settings. We've also added a Mute Opponent option during online matches, allowing you to stop receiving messages and calls from your opponent without interrupting the game itself. Play your way, distraction-free.

New: Bluetooth Keyboards Now Supported

Prefer physical buttons over tapping a screen? DartCounter now supports external Bluetooth keyboards on mobile devices, allowing you to enter scores directly from your keyboard. Whether you're using a compact keypad, a dedicated scoring setup, or your favourite Bluetooth keyboard, entering scores is now faster and more convenient than ever

Fixes & Tweaks

Gameplay

  • Average Marks Per Round in online Cricket/Tactics matches are now calculated and displayed correctly again. Your stats can finally take the credit they deserve.
  • Around the Clock with Doubles and Increase by Segment now behave properly when entering scores and using undo.
  • The hit rate statistic in Bob’s 27 now displays correctly during the game. Your doubles deserve the recognition they've earned.
  • Want to settle who throws first in a local rematch? You can now use the Throw for First options directly after selecting Rematch, making it easy to start the next game fairly.
  • Finished a game of Halve It? The end screen now includes the extended statistics you’re used to seeing, giving you a complete breakdown of your performance without leaving the results screen.
  • Playing with an Omni and Double In enabled? You’ll no longer be reminded after every throw that you need to hit a double first. Once is enough.
  • You’ll no longer receive game invitations while playing a local match. Focus on the game in front of you, the invites can wait until the final dart has landed.
  • Finding the spectator count distracting during online matches? You can now hide it through the in-game settings, letting you focus entirely on your darts.
  • Playing an online match while scheduled maintenance is approaching? Instead of your game unexpectedly freezing or closing, you'll now receive a clear warning letting you know that the match will automatically end in a few minutes due to maintenance. No surprises, just a heads-up when you need it.

Statistics

  • If your opponent left an online game and you chose not to save the match, it will no longer end up in your unconfirmed statistics list. Less clutter, more accurate stats.
  • Non-Ultimate users can now save all unconfirmed matches with a single button. No more match-by-match marathon, one tap and you’re done. We're starting with X01 matches, with support for additional game modes coming in future updates.

Live Games & Lobbies

  • Looking for a specific game type? You can now filter the Online Lobby by Match or Cricket/Tactics, making it easier to find exactly the games you want to join.

Friends & Social

  • Not sure who you've blocked? You can now view your block list directly from the Friends menu whenever you have one or more players blocked. No more guessing who's on the naughty list.

Camera & Smart devices

  • Playing online with an Omni? Any edits you make to your darts are now correctly synced to your opponent, keeping both scoreboards perfectly in step.
  • Prefer a cleaner view while playing with the Omni? You can now hide the zoomed board view, giving you more room for the scoreboard and making game modes like Cricket and Tactics easier to follow.

Tournaments

  • Hosting a tournament? Players you've blocked can no longer join it. A little more control, a lot fewer unwanted surprises.
  • We've improved the participant order in tournaments that use both a group stage and knockout bracket. Players eliminated during the group stage are now listed below those who reached the knockout rounds, making the final standings much clearer and easier to follow.

UI & UX

  • Match statistics on the end screen are now fully scrollable on smaller devices. No more cut-off numbers, every stat is now within reach.
  • The detailed per-turn statistics are now expanded by default instead of being hidden away. Less clicking, more insights.
