Release notes DartCounter V9.6.1
What’s New & What’s Fixed: DartCounter v9.6.1 Update
20 August 2026
Highlights
Editing Scores in Ranked Mode
We’ve heard your feedback and seen the results of our polls, so score editing is coming back to Ranked, with a small twist.
Instead of being able to edit any score from previous turns, you can now only edit the score from your previous turn. You can request an edit when it’s your turn, giving your opponent the chance to review the change before deciding whether to accept or decline it.
Once you send an edit request, 30 seconds will be added to your turn, and your opponent will have those same 30 seconds to respond. If they don’t respond in time, the request will automatically be accepted.
This keeps score corrections possible while making sure both players have a say in any changes made during a Ranked match.
Fixes & Tweaks
Gameplay
- Improved connectivity during online games, reducing cases where a match could appear to get stuck when switching turns or when the game should have ended.
- Fixed a rare issue where finishing a leg could cause the next leg to complete automatically as well.
- Reduced the maximum number of sets from 30 to 15 to prevent issues with larger matches failing to load correctly.
- Fixed an issue in online Cricket where darts thrown with Omni wouldn’t be displayed correctly for your opponent.
- Fixed an issue in Local Tournament games where the Darts Used on Double pop-up wouldn’t appear during the checkout phase.
Ranked
- Ranked results are no longer shown to spectators on the end-of-match screen.
- Rank changes are now displayed correctly on the Ranked leaderboard.
- The leaderboard now loads results immediately after selecting Show Leaderboard.
- If your camera disconnects during an online game, the app will no longer incorrectly tell you to reconnect an Omni if you didn’t have one connected in the first place.
Statistics
- Games with 0 darts thrown are no longer included when calculating your Last 30 Games 3-dart average. If one appears in your most recent 30 games, the next eligible game will be included instead.
Live Games & Lobbies
- Fixed a potential sync issue that could cause spectators to fall out of sync while watching a game.
- Added indicators to Live Games so you can easily see whether a match is Ranked, a regular online game or a tournament game.
- Ranked games in Live Games now show each player’s rank instead of their 3-dart average.
Camera & Smart Devices
- Improved the recovery flow when an Omni loses connection, making reconnecting smoother and more reliable.
UI & UX
- Added a trophy icon to clearly highlight the winner of an online game.
- Fixed the position of the spectator button on larger layouts.
- You can now scroll properly again when editing scores during an online game.
- Added First and Last buttons to make navigating the Ranked leaderboard quicker.
- Using a swipe gesture in the Ranked lobby now correctly navigates you back.
