Release notes DartCounter V9.7.0

What’s New & What’s Fixed:  DartCounter v9.7.0 update

16 September 2026

Highlights

More Than 4 Players in Local Games

Local games just got a lot bigger. You can now play with up to 12 players in a single local game, giving you more ways to bring everyone into the action.

We’ve also increased the number of supported teams from 2 to 6, and every local game mode supports the expanded player count. More players, more teams and more ways to play together.

Dual Camera Layout

We’ve added a new layout option for online games that lets you view two camera streams side by side, giving matches more of a TV-style broadcast feel.

The layout also includes a smaller fully movable score panel, so you can position it wherever it works best for your setup without getting in the way of the action. The panel also includes additional options that let you display specific match statistics, giving you more control over the information you want to see during a game.

Fixes & Tweaks

Gameplay

  • Cricket/Tactics in No Score mode no longer plays a success sound when hitting an already closed field with Omni.
  • Fixed an issue in Around the Clock where Increase by Segment could be ignored after using Undo.

Ranked

  • Improved Ranked point distribution. Your game average now plays a bigger role in how many points you gain or lose. Players with a higher average while still in a lower bracket will earn more points than before, making it easier to climb towards a rank that better reflects their skill level.

DartBot

  • Added an option to let DartBot skip the remainder of a game once you’ve already finished.
  • Improved the DartBot algorithm at higher levels, making its scoring more consistent and preventing sudden drops from high scores to unusually low ones.

Statistics

  • Fixed an issue where the DartBot heatmap in Around the Clock did not display all hits.

Live Games & Lobbies

  • The Cam Only filter for online lobbies no longer includes Omni players, keeping the filter true to its intended purpose.

Tournaments

  • Byes in tournament brackets are now distributed evenly between the upper and lower halves, helping reduce potential wait times before your match starts.
  • Added support for tournament matches to end in a draw.
  • Starting a local tournament game from the host’s device now correctly hides the Start Game overlay.
  • Guest players now receive a 3-dart average in local tournaments.

Accounts & Security

  • Added the option to link your Target account directly from Connected Accounts in Account Settings.

UI & UX

  • Added an info popup to Random Checkout, giving players a quick explanation of how the game mode works.
  • Fixed an issue in online games where the UI could prevent you from editing your last dart.
  • Added plus and minus buttons to make adjusting camera zoom easier.
  • Increased the maximum length of chat messages to 250 characters.
