December dev update
Hey everyone, another update from the team,
After our last post, some of you still experienced a few hiccups... including short periods of downtime. This was mostly caused by our server team scaling things up even further to handle the growing demand. The good news: most of this work was completed Monday evening around 5pm - 6pm CET, so we’re very hopeful the worst of it is behind us now.
Next to that we pushed some minor fixes yesterday, including the fix to track throws, meaning your 180s and other throw stats should now update correctly going forward.
Please keep in mind: we haven’t synced the missing throw stats from before today yet, but they’re not lost. We’ll reprocess and add them at a later moment, once we can do it safely and properly.
One more thing regarding Action Replays: some of you have noticed that a few clips are still stuck on processing. Sadly, any clips that ended up in this state can’t be recovered, and we’ve decided to remove them from your account. The good news is: we’ve located the issue that caused this and pushed out a fix last night. Since then, all new clips have been processed correctly again.
So what's next?
Just like we mentioned before, our main focus over the coming weeks will be stability and bug fixes.
Earlier this week we created a detailed plan outlining everything we need to tackle to get the app to the level of reliability we’re aiming for, and honestly, the level you all deserve.
Also, because a lot of you asked: tournaments are included in that plan. We know they don’t always behave the way they should, and they definitely need some extra love.
To prevent Action Replays getting stuck like this again long-term, we’ll also be adding the option to reprocess clips if they ever fail in the future. This feature doesn’t exist yet, but it’s on our list for the coming weeks, so even if this happens again there will be a way to restore them.
We’ll also be setting up a proper status page on our website, so we can keep everyone better informed with live updates whenever something is going on.
Thanks again for your patience and for sticking with us, we really appreciate it!
And as always: if you notice anything off, feedback and bug reports are super welcome through the app or the usual Discord channels!
