Darts Doubles Training Rules

Doubles Training is one of the best darts practices to improve your finishing in darts. You keep throwing at each double until you hit it, which quickly shows where you are consistent and which doubles still need work. Track your results in DartCounter and build the confidence to finish legs when it matters most.

How to play Darts Doubles Training

Throw your darts at the shown double. Score the double in the app when you hit it, do you miss the double, then select ‘Miss’ or let the OMNI Autoscoring do it all automatically.

Scoring

Doubles Training scoring rules are simple. Each time you hit the target double, you score 1 point. Once you hit it, your turn ends and in the next turn you aim for the next double. You continue until you have hit all doubles in order and finish on the bull.

Game settings

You can choose the order of the doubles: low to high, high to low, or random. You can play solo to practice your doubles, or challenge friends. The first player to finish all doubles wins, but each player will get to finish the current round.

Track you doubles progress

You can track your doubles performance in DartCounter. You can see how many doubles you hit and how many you missed. You  can also see your total darts thrown and your checkout rate in game.

Free users can view their checkout rate at the end of a game. You can also review your most recent session and see how many darts you needed to complete the round.

Ultimate users unlock full statistics for all games. You can track your progress over time and see your hit rate and total darts thrown. This helps you understand which doubles you hit confidently and which ones still need practice.

Difference between Doubles Training and Bob’s 27

Both Bob’s 27 and Doubles Training are popular darts practice games to train your doubles. Doubles Training focuses on simply hitting the target double. You keep focussing on the double until you hit it, then move on.

Bob’s 27 is different because the value of each double matters. You throw three darts at each double and then move on the next target even if you miss. You similarly go through the doubles in order, but the scoring is different. If you miss all three darts on a double, you lose points. This makes the game feel more like real match finishing pressure. With the hard mode on you can’t have your score drop below zero.

Improve your darts finishing game with Bob’s 27

Doubles darts training is one of the most effective drills to improve your finishing. In x01 darts, you win legs by hitting a double, so practising doubles is essential.

This darts practice shows you exactly where your strengths and weaknesses are. Because you must keep throwing at the same double until you hit it, some targets feel easy, while others quickly expose gaps in your game. You might hit Double 20 in just a few darts, but may need many more attempts on Double 2 or Double 7.

In DartCounter, your statistics make this clearer. You can see which doubles you hit confidently and which ones still need work. That makes Doubles Training a practical way to build consistency and become more reliable when a finish really matters
